Pastor Roy surrendered his life to the Lord in 1987 and started his service in the Ministry as a Sunday School teacher. Life took a detour, however and eventually, after graduating university, he left the Ministry and concentrated on building his career. He made his way into the corporate ladder, but God had a different plan. In 1998, he came to New Zealand with his wife, Anne and met a local church pastor who encouraged him to attend Sunday services again. This fellowship rekindled his passion to serve the ministry and, in the year, 2000 he was ordained as in one of the Church Service of New Life Church in Auckland.
In 2006, Pastor Roy accepted an invitation from Pastor Mel Merioles to help them establish a pioneering church. Following what The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded in Matthew 28:19 “to make disciples of all nations...”, he has since committed to his passion to care for burdened and the salvation of the lost serving as one of the Trustee Pastors of the Church of The Risen Lord Jesus Christ. In 2008, he started leading the CRLJC North Shore community, preaching the gospel, ministering God’s love to more and more people through its extended outreaches, activities and ministries.
